Self-tapping inserts (or self-tapping bushings) are fasteners with internal and external bolts and cutting holes or grooves, thus representing a new type of fastener that strengthens lightly threaded parts. Self-tapping inserts are embedded in relatively soft materials such as plastics, aluminum alloys, cast iron, and copper, creating high-strength internal threaded holes. They can also repair damaged internal threads, as they do not require pre-tapping and can be directly screwed into pre-drilled holes in the base material. Even for damaged threads, the same screw can be used.

● Provides strong internal threads in soft substrates to withstand repeated repairs and disassembly/reassembly.

● Effectively repairs damaged internal threads.

● Used after die casting, injection molding, or other manufacturing processes, thus simplifying product structure and increasing production volume.

● Self-tapping inserts can withstand high loads, allowing for the use of smaller inserts and resulting in a more compact product design.
